2 Funded PhD research positions in gender and global political economy

Arts_HumanitiesDr. Bipasha Baruah (Department of Women’s Studies and Feminist Research at Western University) is recruiting 2 PhD students (beginning September 2015) as part of a SSHRC-funded project in India on urban women and livelihoods.
Students will be provided with competitive funding, guidance, and opportunities for funded in-depth fieldwork and research dissemination on a multi-sited research project in India.
Applicants must have an appropriate background in Gender and Development and Global Political Economy.  Applicants with Hindi/Urdu language skills, previous fieldwork experience in India/South Asia and a 4.0 GPA will be
particularly competitive.
